Research topic ideas

My first idea was to do a report on steroids. Steroids have had a huge impact on sports in the past two decades. Sports is something that I have been apart of since I was a kid. So steroids would be something that i am familiar with and would like to know more about.

My second idea would be to do a report on the  effects of marijuana on the human body. I would focus on both permanent effects and the effects it has on you while you are intoxicated. I don't know much about marijuana, but it is something i would like to learn more about. I find the way drugs and alcohol effect the human body and mind very interesting.

The third topic that i was thinking about using for the research paper would be gun control and the right to bear arms. I would like to research this topic, because i am a hunter and care a lot about my right to bear arms and protect myself.

Reasearch History

My only research that i have had to do at the college level so far was a five page paper on Japanese Daoism for Japanese Tea ceremony class

My highschool research history was a little exstensive, because Lakeview High School prides itself on the writing ability of it's students. I had to do three different term papers while in high school. Two of them were on steroids and their affects, while the third was a bibliographical research paper on Mark Twain. All of these were of a minimum of 5 pages.

I did a few shorter two to three research papers with a wide variety of topics: Pennsylvania history, Jackie Robinson, The Pereguin Falcon, The civil War, The development and construction of Hienz Field, along with a research of my own family history going back five generations

I am looking forward to this class because i enjoy doing research on topics that are of interest to me, and i feel like i will be able to do well in this class.
